DTF Artwork Requirements

For the best printing results, please review these DTF artwork requirements before uploading your design. Customers are responsible for submitting artwork that is properly sized, print-ready and free from unwanted elements.

Accepted File Format

Please upload your artwork as a high-resolution PNG file with a transparent background. PNG is the preferred format because it preserves transparency and helps maintain the quality of your design.

Do not submit screenshots, photographs of printed artwork or low-quality images downloaded from social media.

Image Resolution

Artwork should be created at 300 DPI at the final printing size. Increasing the resolution of a small or blurry image will not restore missing details.

Before submitting your file, zoom in and inspect it carefully for:

  • Blurry or pixelated edges

  • Unwanted backgrounds

  • Stray pixels or marks

  • Missing design elements

  • Rough outlines

  • Small or unreadable text

Your printed transfer will only be as clear as the artwork you provide.

Transparent Background

Your file must have a fully transparent background unless the background is intentionally part of the design. A white background visible in your file may print as part of the transfer.

A checkerboard pattern inside an editing program normally represents transparency. However, a checkerboard saved as part of the image is not transparent and may be printed.

Correct Artwork Size

Submit your design at the exact dimensions you want it printed. We will not automatically resize individual designs unless the selected product or service specifically includes resizing.

Always confirm the width and height before uploading. Rockin Transfers is not responsible for artwork submitted or ordered at the incorrect size.

Gang Sheet Requirements

When uploading a completed gang sheet:

  • Use the exact dimensions selected on the product page

  • Keep every design inside the printable area

  • Leave enough space between designs for cutting

  • Remove unused transparent space when possible

  • Do not overlap artwork

  • Confirm that all designs are correctly sized

  • Export the completed sheet as one high-resolution PNG file

Artwork extending outside the selected gang-sheet dimensions may be cropped.

Fine Lines and Small Details

Very thin lines, tiny text, transparent effects and extremely small details may not print or press clearly. Use clean edges and make important elements thick enough to remain visible after printing and application.

Color Information

Printed colors may vary slightly from your computer screen or digital mockup. Screens display color using light, while printers reproduce color using ink. Fabric color, material and application settings can also affect the final appearance.

Exact color matching is not guaranteed.

Mirroring Your Artwork

Please submit DTF artwork in its normal viewing direction unless the product page specifically says otherwise. Our production process will handle any required printing orientation.

Artwork Responsibility

Orders may be printed exactly as submitted. Rockin Transfers is not responsible for:

  • Misspelled words

  • Incorrect dimensions

  • Low-resolution or pixelated artwork

  • Unwanted backgrounds

  • Stray pixels

  • Incorrect colors

  • Missing or cropped design elements

  • Poor-quality customer-supplied files
